The Photographer

Hey world I’ve finally had the opportunity to upload a gallery from a recent expedition: An un-portered crossing of the Nepal Himalaya from east to west. A 1000+ mile journey of immense beauty, remote and challenging landscapes, and unparalleled kindness of local people.

Since April of 2015, following the devestating Earthquake which rocked Nepal, I had been eager to return to this paradise and support these inspiring, strong, and beautiful people. Nepal is a country near and dear to my heart and its positive impact on my life has been profound in every way.

I had a good run of steady work in Australia from October, 2015 - October, 2016 making the decision to trek across Nepal’s Himalaya, supporting local people through responsible tourism, an easy decision for me. If you love travel, adventure, culture, wildlife, and life changing experiences, I encourage you to move Nepal to the top of your list. You will not regret it.

My travels more or less began by volunteering in Romania in 2004, teaching underprivileged youths football (soccer) skills. In the past 10 years I have volunteered, worked, travelled, and lived on 6 continents and 25 countries, and I count these experiences among the greatest blessings of my life.

My journey has illuminated the glorious splendor of existence to me in many ways, and as a result I am convinced that championing love, compassion, peace, positive energy, and a sustainable means of co-existence for humans, wildlife, and the environment, life's great purpose.

Humanity:

If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.

-Mother Teresa

Wildlife:

Kinship with all creatures of the earth, sky, and water was a real and active principle. In the animal and bird world, there existed a brotherly feeling that kept us safe among them… The animals had rights – the right of man’s protection, the right to live, the right to multiply, the right to freedom, and the right to man’s indebtedness. This concept of life and its relations filled us with the joy and mystery of living; it gave us reverence for all life; it made a place for all things in the scheme of existence; with equal importance to all.

- Standing Bear (Lakota)

Environment:

The earth is a fine place and worth fighting for.

-Ernest Hemingway

MISSION

Originally when I started 5050photography back in 2013 my dream was to sell images while simultaneously splitting 50% of each purchase with a cause the purchaser was passionate about. (Hence the Name) As time has passed and I have evolved in mind, body, and spirit my interest in 50% of anything has deteriorated. My passion for travel, humanity, wildlife, and our environment is stronger than ever, and if you are interested in obtaining a photograph from me I am grateful and humbled. I only ask that you in return donate whatever you think the image is worth to the cause you are passionate about, and cover my expenses for facilitating the acquisition of the image. If you wish to donate money to me as well, to continue photographing, exploring, loving, living, and sharing positivity with the world and its inhabitants, that is also appreciated, but not necessary. We are all in this together and we should act accordingly.

I am not always traveling, but when I am I don't stay very connected so don't take it personally if you don't get an immediate response to an email. I've never owned a smart phone and don’t intend to...so, sorry I don't have your app.

-for any questions, inquires, art acquisition, positive ideas, or what have you…

Good on ya world! See you out there.
